Your Shirts Ink is your custom apparel, promotional product, and design/branding specialists. We are here to guide you through every step of the order process. It is important to us that you get exactly what you're looking for.
At Your Shirts Ink we take pride in our work. Quality custom products and customer service are our main focuses throughout the order process.
We also recognize that we have a duty to our fellow man and planet while operating a manufacturing business. That is why with each ethical product purchase we will sponsor children’s food and education in areas negatively impacted by our industry, which is mainly throughout South America and Bangladesh. With each eco-friendly order, which we define as an order that contains recycled materials, we will plant tree(s) across our planet. Giving back is part of our fabric.
Your Shirts Ink was founded in February 2011 by a pair of high school friends in State College, Pa. The goal- create a custom apparel/product company that makes ordering easy while keeping things personal. With a small screenprinting press and a second hand heat press, mom’s basement would become the first headquarters. For those first few years in the basement trial and error was a daily occurrence while learning all the various techniques the screenprinting, embroidery, and promotional product industry had to teach. With no marketing budget, good quality work and customer service gave us enough word of mouth referrals to grow!
We expanded to The Piedmont Triad in North Carolina, which includes Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and High Point in January 2019. Being a central hub for so many different businesses who manufacture and decorate clothing, The Piedmont Triad became an obvious choice to centralize most of our operations and production.
We now have several printing facilities located across the country, while primarily servicing Central Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
We are focused on creating even more ethical and eco-friendly options. We want to produce as little waste as possible, use as many recycled materials as possible, and incentivize good choices along the way. In the screenprinting industry this is not always easy to do. That is because many businesses focus only on the bottom line. A lot of our competitors will use unethically made goods produced in sweatshops or with components produced in sweatshops or hazardous environments. They will pay their workers the least amount possible. And in return they will pass along a cheaply made product that is typically inferior, incorrect, or does not arrive on time. It is the same case for embroidered products and various promotional products. On the other hand we will always take the high road. We plan on paying our employees living wages, working with high quality products/techniques, and producing custom apparel and promotional products for clientele who share our values.
We are working on becoming experts in water based and discharge screenprinting. Traditionally most screenprinted items are done with plastisol ink which means plastic based. Water is obviously better for the environment than plastic, so we strive to offer this option more often. We also have now started offering dye sublimated products because its one of the highest quality processes along with one of the most eco-friendly processes out there.
Being the cheapest company is not our goal. It is far from it. We believe to produce consistent quality you need to use quality goods and pay employees well. We also are not the most expensive company out there. Efficiency is the best way to cut costs. We focus on automated systems in our production facilities to ensure minimal errors, and quick quality service. Minimally three members of our staff will check the details of your order from start to finish to make sure everything is correct. On the rare occasion there is a mistake, we will do everything in our power to set it right. We believe to have a quality custom product business there needs to be trust between us and our customers. Being transparent about all we do and how we do it is of the utmost importance.
